2004 Winter Cup Series
This will be a short 10 race series to get prepared for the 2005 Cup Series.
We will use the NASCAR 2003 point system and Simcar.Info rules. Any penalty points will be deducted from the drivers series points. We will score your 8 best out of 10 races and no provisional points will be awarded.
Races will be 35% and pit frequency will be two times. This is two times normal tire wear and fuel usage.
All races will be realistic damage and hard core (no driving aids) mode. You can use any driving view you like.
In addition to Simcar.Info rules the following will apply. When different the rules listed here will prevail.
All penalty points will be subtracted from standings.
If you make contact with another car causing a caution two times in one race, you will need to park your car and be assessed a 5 point penalty.
If you make contact with another car causing a caution two races in a row you will be assessed a 5 point penalty.
If you have a self spin two times in one race causing a caution you will be penalized 3 points, if you don't park it and cause another caution for any reason you will be assessed an additional 5 point penalty and be forced to park it.
The review committee may use any combination of the rules above and the Simcar.Info rules to penalize a driver for overaggressive driving or unsportsmanlike conduct.
All races will be:
Wednesdays (see Calendar), Qualifying at 6:30pm PST
2x Pit Frequency
No Forced View
Hardcore Mode - No Driving Aids

We will be running two races every other Friday night starting November 19th at Texas and will end February 18th at Chicagoland. All races will count for points, your 4 lowest scoring races will be thrown out and your top 10 races will count for series title. If you have to miss a couple of races you will still have a shot at the title.
The first race of the evening will be a 15% sprint race with 1 time pit frequency (Road Courses 10%), Qualify time about 6:30pm Pacific Time.
